Office of International Programs Travel Approval

Please review the Interim Policy for International Travel.

You have reached this page because you are proposing to take a group of students abroad. Please note that this application system may only receive one Program Proposal submission per term (e.g. only 1 Proposal for SU22). However, you may submit multiple proposals for different terms (e.g. 1 proposal for both SU22 and FA22) through this application. You will be prompted to select a term once you hit the "Apply Now" button.

Example: A faculty member wishes to propose 3 Programs--taking place in Paris, London, and Hong Kong--in Summer 2022 Academic Term. They would need to submit their 1st proposal (Paris) into this form, then their 2nd proposal (Paris) to the "Second Int'l Travel with Students Proposal" form, and their 3rd proposal (Hong Kong) to the "Third Int'l Travel with Students Proposal" form, etc., linked above.

IMPORTANT: If you wish to submit multiple program requests within the same Academic Term, you must submit each Program Proposal separately using one of the alternate Proposal Applications below.  To begin, click on the Apply Now button above.

All program proposals must be approved by the appropriate Dean, Department Chair, or Travel Approver prior to the program being administered within the Office for Study Abroad website/online application system.  Approval for each proposal is not guaranteed and is subject to the Travel Policy approval process.  You will be contacted regarding the status of your proposal.

Furthermore, all administrators must receive software training prior to obtaining administrative rights within the GW Passport online application system.  If your proposal is approved, you will receive further instructions from the Office for Study Abroad about completing the online training program. You can download application instructions here: InternationalTravelApprovalFacultyInstructions.pdf
