Grenoble Ecole de Management (GEM) is one of the world's leading business schools and one of the few to possess triple accreditation by AACSB, AMBA, and EQUIS. The school's strengths are in business consulting, and innovation management of technology. Exchange students are eligible to participate in the Graduate Certificate programs in Global Management and Global Technology offered through the Master in Management program.
Degree-seeking graduate students in the School of Business are able to enroll in Grenoble's Master in Management program; sharing classes with French students and a substantial international student population.

Grenoble, with the stunning Alps as its backdrop, is a leading European center for technological innovation. Known as a welcoming, vibrant city, Grenoble boasts a richness in history and a firm grasp on modernity. Located in southern France, the city is not far from northern Italy or Switzerland. It is a one hour train ride to Lyon and only a 3 hour direct train ride from Paris.
Scholarship Funding Available
The Region Rhône-Alpes, which GEM is a part of, is offering a scholarship to incoming international students. Scholarships range from 2,400 - 3,000 euros a semester. Students must apply in December for the next academic year. Scholarship funding is available for students taking elective credit in the Masters in Management and NOT for the Certificate programs. Grenoble follows a two-semester schedule.
- Fall Semester: September - Mid-December
- Fall Semester Certificate Programs: September - Mid-December
- Spring Semester: January - Mid-April
- Spring Semester Certificate Programs: January - Early May
Exchange students can take elective coursework in the Master in Management program or participate in one of two Graduate Certificate programs offered in the fall and spring semester: Advanced Global Management & Global Technology Entrepreneurship. Please consult the GEM website for the most up to date information.
Language of Instruction
Courses are all taught in English with the option of taking Intensive French Language Courses. Note that GWSB students cannot earn GW credits for participation in language coursework.
On-campus housing is not available at Grenoble. Grenoble will share with students several housing options for private, shared apartments, and residencies that are approved by the institution.
Career DevelopmentExchange students have full access to the career center and alumni network. *Students interested in obtaining internships while in France will need to apply for a work visa and seek approval from GWSB. Exchange students are strongly encouraged to meet with The F. David Fowler Career Center prior to departure for the exchange.
