LocationIstanbul is the largest city in Turkey and 5th largest city in the world. It is truly a “megacity” that serves as the cultural, economic, and financial center of Turkey. Istanbul is located on the Bosporus Strait and encompasses the natural harbor known as the “Golden Horn.” It extends both on the European (Thrace) and on the Asian (Anatolia) sides of the Bosporus and is therefore the only metropolis in the world that is situated on two continents.
Istanbul has two sides, European and Anatolian. Koç University is on the northern part of the European side. KU operates a shuttle to and from the city center.
