Students who successfully complete the Global Perspective Residency courses gain a first-hand understanding of how to effectively engage, communicate, and advocate in diverse cultures. The focus is on advocacy as an organization (a business or an NGO)

Why London?
During our travel period in London, students will gain insights into successfully advocating in the United Kingdom from the exchange of ideas with business leaders, American diplomats, political leaders, and other key influencers in the region

What Will My Days Be Like in London?
Following is a sample itinerary for one day abroad:

9:30am-12:00pm: Advocacy and Communication in Direct Foreign Investment
12:30-2:00pm: Lunch at British American Business
2:30-4:00pm: Regional Insights from Public Affairs Professionals at a Major PR Firm like Edelman or Ogilvy
4:30-6:00pm: Visit to and Lecture at Westminster Palace
Evening: Dinner and Activities on Your Own


What are the Class and London Travel Dates?
Blackboard-Based Classes: Monday, November 4 - Friday, December 6, 2019. Lectures, associated comprehension questions, and assignments will be made available on Blackboard. Due dates will be listed on the syllabus, with the final assignment due upon return from London
Global Perspective Residency in London: Saturday, December 7- Saturday, December 14, 2019
